**NOTE** THERE ARE PLENTY OF DIFFERENT WAYS TO SET THIS GYRO UP. PLEASE READ THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS AND FIND WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU. THIS IS JUST TO GET YOU GOING!
No stick priority!
Just do the following.
First combine all your tail rotor trim. Go to trim screen Set T4 to Normal combine for all conditions. Next Zero out all the trims for tail rotor. Meaning no subtrims, no trim, no PMIX , no PR, no RT.
Next Set your Gyro box so you have CMT mode meaning you can have heading hold and normal gyro.
Set all your ATV's for Rudder to 100% in all conditions.
Disable all PMIX for G501 that you had previously (inhibit).
Next Pick a switch let say switch (A), go to Function screen (MDL). Set the Gyro CTR to swA the direction is up to you by setting the plus or minus.
Now use the ATV for gyro Channel (5) to set it at 100% on each side.
Then you can either use the AFR for the gyro to set the AVCS mode rate and the Normal rate Remember 0-50% on a side is AVCS or reverse.
Now for every condition you can set your Gains.
After this is done go to ATV screen for Rudder and select NXT that shows the delay for the servos, use anywhere between 40% to 60% delay. (same as setting the control delay at the unit).
At the same do not NOT...NOT attempt to set the frame rate on the gyro to high. If you are using the 9205, the frame rate should be set to normal. The high frame rate is reserve for our new 9250 servos.
If you decide to use the JR 2700G servo, then set the frame rate too "HIGH".
Also remember your voltage for this servos again does not exceed 5.2 volt.
Now it does not make a difference where your collective stick is at when you put the servos wheel on, Just make sure is that is close to 90 degree angle. Make sure you have equal amount of travel on each sides. the Servos wheel size should about 12.5 to 13.5 mm from center.
Now pick up the helicopter in normal mode and you put it directly into the wind and trim the tail. Land the helicopter, flip the avcs switch 3 times within one second, this will memorize the trim.
Now you are ready to fly.
You will find that in normal mode you will need some tail antirotation but it should not exceed 8% .
My set up is as follow :
Hover mode in either AVCS or normal.
Idleup 1 AVCS mode
Idleup 2 normal mode
